Limitations of the Web Exporter

  • Pages are read only. No editing from the browser.
  • Section Groups are not supported. The hierarchy is flattened.
  • Sub Pages are not supported. The hierarchy is flattened.
  • Embedded OneNote files show up as pictures, not clickable objects.
  • Internal notebook hyperlinks are not redirected the corresponding page in the webview

Why does mht even exist? why not just stick to the standard? I guess that's just not the Microsoft way is it?

As denli says pages are .mht and do not work in Mozilla Firefox. There is, however an extension "UnMHT" you can install to get some functionality - it does not work perfectly however.

Names of Sections and Pages doesn't support international characters.

Pages can't be used by webbrowser that doesn't support .mht files.
