Wow did a test site with 2010 and it worked.

Going to try a massive export and check the behavior. I may also get in there and replace the 2007 graphic in my exports...

Anyone have any 2010 bugs or issues I should know about?

I can't see the toolbar button anywhere in OneNote 2010, am I missing something?

I see the "world" icon, click on it, it greys out and nothing happens.

I am running IE, I have admin rights on an XP Pro machine using OneNote 2007.

Here is the process I go through to get it work in Firefox:

Export OneNote book using WebExporter and move files created to new folder

Use MHTML Converter to convert page files from MHT to HTML (for each tab in notebook)

Move resulting folders up on level, include the "style" folder (to get them out of the _onefiles folder)

Edit SectionFramset.html:

change "./page0.mht" to "page0/page0.html"

Edit SectionIndex.html:

Run code through W3 validator and get Tidycode
global change of ".mht" to ".html"
global change of "./page" to "pageXXXX/page"
manually change pageXXXX to match associated HTML file (eg. page0/page0.html)
manually delete "onmouseover" through "onclick" (until one figures out how to make it work)

Edit webview.html:

Run code through W3 validator and get Tidycode
global change "./_onefiles/" to nothing, leave "change to" field blank
global change "0/" to nothing, leave "change to" field blank
find "Last Refresh:" delete after the following </div> through (including) "Toolbar_arrowr_off.png')"></a></div>"
global change "./_onefiles/" to nothing, leave "change to" field blank (again)
Add background color for Firefox (else it will be transparent)

Edit pages with images:

go to the folder for that page, create subfolder (example: for "page0" create "page0_files/" ) move images into that folder.

This is an insanely power application for creating web pages to share instructions and documentation. I believe it could become a defacto starndard for tutorials and other knowledge sharing sites but:
1) the content needs to go directly to the web (i.e. not a Sky Drive)*
2) hyperlinks need to suppor target="_blank"
3) it needs cross browser support

Anybody interested in forming a team to make this happen?

I all,
I have a problem on my Windows Vista that began afetr the purchase of an external Hard Disk Freecom.
A few days afetr the purchase I disconnected it while it was writing and, since that moment, every time I connect and disconnect it, the PC go to freeze mode for 5 minutes.
The same thing happen even if the hard disk is disconnected: every time I start windows it go to freeze a little after the password, and every time I connect and disconnect a usb device.
I have looked for the solution everywhere, updated windows, unistalled and installed the hard disk from the device manager but I solved the problem only when I restored a recent backup.
Yesterday the Hard disk was writing a backup while Vista was installing the updates; at the end of the proceure windows restarted automatically and the problem began again!!!
The Pc go to freeze when it starts, every time I connect or disconnect the hard disk, an usb earphone that has always worked switch on but there is no audio and I don't know how many others usb devices will have problems.
Has anyone an idea to solve this problem before I throw out of the window Vista or the the hard disk?

I tried to see if the hyperlinks would work in the exported notebook.

They don't seem to work, I get a blank page. I tried exporting the 'OneNote 2007 Guide'

and the internal hyperlinks in 'More Cool Features' section don't work, once exported.

NOTE: when clicking on a link in the exported site, it opens the page inside the OneNote application on my PC.

NOTE: I had no trouble exporting OneNote 2007 Guide to a web host running Apache (hosing24.com).

Pages display perfectly with Internet Explorer 6... I was reading that there is a problem with IE7,

but not sure, I havn't tried it yet.. Had no problem in loading the pages, though, in IE6 from my webhost running Apache Web Server..

NOTE: I am trying to view in another browser, but I havn't been able to load it in any other browser

other than Internet Explorer.

what is needed is a Borwser capable of viewing '.mht' (MHTML) files.

Firefox has an extension for viewing .mht files. 'Mozilla Archive Format' extension

not sure if it works for this, though.

and Opera 9 &10 support opening .mht files. I have not had succes with this though.

Update: Ihave just tested with unMHT firefox-extension and it works with Mozilla Firefox web browser.

I am having the same Problem, I am Running Vista Business SP-1. So far I have tried multiple SharePoint Document Libraries with a variety of options on all of them (versioning v. no versioning, Full control, All Content Types etc...) Have you had any more luck with figuring this out?

Definitely a handy add-in. Here's some issues I've noted so far.

Keepo up the good work!

1.) Pictures that have been set as background image are not exported.

2.) Files that have been inserted into a page are not exported.

3.) Templates (i.e. graphics) are not exported.

4.) Inserted tags like checkboxes do not show updates. (i.e. an inserted check boxes that have been checked show as unchecked when exported)

I love the idea of this exporter, and can get it to work just fine (in internet explorer), but if this thing would get cleaned up, added features, fixed,.... Is anything being done on this?

I think I figured out most of it. The drop down list displays the file name not the display name. But I still have one notebook where the drop down is displaying an earlier file name. Both the file name and display name have changed but the drop down list does not refresh or update.

Oh, thanks for this. I'll have a look - I can see that your files are working!

For now, I'll stick to saving it to a memory stick, as I want to go home & that's quicker than either editing files or shoving a picture on every page - but when I get back, I'll try that !
