Wow did a test site with 2010 and it worked.

Going to try a massive export and check the behavior. I may also get in there and replace the 2007 graphic in my exports...

Anyone have any 2010 bugs or issues I should know about?

I have found two problems with this: 1) The published web page only works in Internet Explorer, apparently each individual page is exported as an .mht file, instead of the html file I was expecting. I will have to find a converter for this. 2) "Unfiled Notes" are not listed as an option in the notebooks that can be exported, meaning I have to move all those notes elsewhere in order to export them.

I've got the globe fading out problem as well, but I *am* logged in with an administrator account. I am wondering if there's some other requirement that I don't have, and that non-admin users might not have access to on other machines.

in onenote 2010, you could launch this little app by clicking "Add-Ins" -> "Export Web View icon" which is on Toolbar commands.

I've the same issue reported by AaronLS. Other pages for this addon indicate that I should see a globe icon to launch this but I don't see that in OneNote 2010. I see the command line also in program files but it does not launch this UI. Anyone know how to get this plugin working on Windows 7 with OneNote 2010?

I've installed and can press the "button", it then greys out but nothing happens. This is on XP professional.

I see the "world" icon, click on it, it greys out and nothing happens.

I am running IE, I have admin rights on an XP Pro machine using OneNote 2007.

This documentation is missing an important step, the very first step of how to run the application. There is no shortcut in the start menu, the cwebber.exe application installed under Program Files doesn't do anything but run a command prompt program, and there is no new options in OneNote that I can see to run this. So how do we run this program? The above guide just shows us how to us the exporter once it is running, but how do we even get to that first step.

If I done one time an export of a notebook, I can not export other notebooks, I get always the message "Failed to scheduled task "Export Notebook-..." Exit Code 1. Check If the task already exists in the task scheduler. But I can not find an entry in windows task scheduler (>control panel > scheduled tasks), how I can reset or find the entry?

After installing OneNote Web Exporter, the small blue globe appears in OneNote, but clicking this globe makes it disappear (or better: greyed out) in non-administrator accounts and nothing more happens.

Here is the process I go through to get it work in Firefox:

Export OneNote book using WebExporter and move files created to new folder

Use MHTML Converter to convert page files from MHT to HTML (for each tab in notebook)

Move resulting folders up on level, include the "style" folder (to get them out of the _onefiles folder)

Edit SectionFramset.html:

change "./page0.mht" to "page0/page0.html"

Edit SectionIndex.html:

Run code through W3 validator and get Tidycode
global change of ".mht" to ".html"
global change of "./page" to "pageXXXX/page"
manually change pageXXXX to match associated HTML file (eg. page0/page0.html)
manually delete "onmouseover" through "onclick" (until one figures out how to make it work)

Edit webview.html:

Run code through W3 validator and get Tidycode
global change "./_onefiles/" to nothing, leave "change to" field blank
global change "0/" to nothing, leave "change to" field blank
find "Last Refresh:" delete after the following </div> through (including) "Toolbar_arrowr_off.png')"></a></div>"
global change "./_onefiles/" to nothing, leave "change to" field blank (again)
Add background color for Firefox (else it will be transparent)

Edit pages with images:

go to the folder for that page, create subfolder (example: for "page0" create "page0_files/" ) move images into that folder.

This is an insanely power application for creating web pages to share instructions and documentation. I believe it could become a defacto starndard for tutorials and other knowledge sharing sites but:
1) the content needs to go directly to the web (i.e. not a Sky Drive)*
2) hyperlinks need to suppor target="_blank"
3) it needs cross browser support

Anybody interested in forming a team to make this happen?
